"Not value for money"
Overpriced restaurants and bars. Sauna no longer complimentary. Staff need to be genuinely welcoming and concerned for guests. A very family oriented hotel, I wouldn’t recommend it for people looking for a quite relaxing holiday.
i like every thing for the suite it was very nice everything except the WC not comfrtable everything was perfect staff design food water park my kids rteally enjoyed thank again atlants to make my family happy
Stayed for 1 night with 2 kids and parents. Beautiful property, helpful staff, huge swimming pools, nice rooms with stunning views, great experience at aqua park ( both my kids 1 and 3 years old enjoyed lazy river and it gave me( mum) a chance to relax as well. As we would just go round and round on inflatable donuts, specially made for the small one's. Would definitely come back and recommend this property! Fantastic pastries and desserts for breakfast and dinner.
We really enjoyed our second stay at the Atlantis. The only disappointment was that we did not get the room we had requested at the time of booking. I also emailed the Hotel to request the room directly but to no avail.
We have just got back from our 10 night stay at the atlantis . We stayed in the terraced club suite and it was amazing . Would highly recommend staying here especially with kids . Looking to book for next year already !!
Loved this hotel, the club imperial experience is really worth it, lovely transfer from the airport and helpful club level staff. The club lounges serve great food and beverages. However i do feel like many reviews before me that kids should be kept to certain areas in the lounges or maybe only 1 lounge as all to often in the evening what should be a relaxing drink with canapes turns into screaming kids running around tripping guests up all over the lounge... apart from that the hotel is excellent, so much to do and see. WaterPark was a bit rubbish they say it closes at 6 but they stop letting people in some rides as early as 5:15.... not stated anywhere, so plan accordingly.
Well we booked The Atlantis for our honeymoon really hoping to be wowed... How wrong could we of been.
The hotel is just far too big to have any kind of personal service. We found that most people were only there for a maximum of 5-7 nights some only 1-3.
We were there for the full 14 nights.
Don't get me wrong the hotel looks impressive but it starts and ends there. There was no character at all it was very impersonal.
The rooms were lovely and clean, we had a room that had been recently refurbished, yet it had a distinct smell damp. Our room over looked the ocean which we had requested as we wanted to look out beyond. We managed to see the view from the other side and I must say Im glad we had the view that we requested.
Staff were very unfriendly and quite rude at times. The friendliest was the cleaner we had for our room, the limousine driver Shinju and the staff in Ayamana.
If you like to go to places where staff get to know you and give that personal service then I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
We also were very annoyed at the prices. We expected paying above the odds as we have stayed in plusher hotels than this but to be charged nearly £5 for a 500ml bottle of water! Totally ripping people off we felt sorry for families with young children. The water is available freely in your room but anywhere else get ready to pay.
Buy your alcohol in Dubai airport Duty free.
Cant fault the life guard staff around the pools and there are loads there all day watching very vigilantly.
The aquarium was nice, if you like that sort of thing. The waterpark was ok nothing special. The dolphin experience was great but the price of the photos after was again ridiculous I'm sure if the were cheaper people would buy more therefor spend more.
If you ask the taxi drivers they will take you to Spinnys (Supermarket) on the Palm to stock up on sodas snacks etc. especially if you have children. Its about £10 Limousine ride return ask for Shiju car no 20391. Don't think that these will be expensive t the side of the taxis they are NOT! They have set prices to go places and can't charge anymore even if they get stuck in traffic. If a normal taxis gets stuck in traffic(Which is frequent) the meter is constantly running. If you do use this guy please tell him you got his contact from us.. Alyson & Adrian
Food was good yet nothing out of the ordinary but plenty for everyones tastebuds in the 2 buffet restaurants.
Breadstreet kitchen, don't bother not worth the money and our dessert was served twice with split custard, don't think Gordon Ramsey would of been impressed.
The Lebanese restaurant was fabulous with wonderful and friendly staff.
To be honest when your on the Palm you don't really realise.
Things I would say not to miss:
A trip to The Grand Mosque about 1.5Hrs away well worth the trip
The Burje Kalifa at sunrise
On the whole it was a different experience we enjoyed the honeymoon but would we return to The Atlantis NO, to Dubai well we won't be in a rush to.
If you'd like any other information please feel free to message me.
We only visited Atlantis by monorail and it was great. Hopefully next time we will stay here.
We eat at Ronda Locatelli the best pizza ever! There is something you can do everyday , especially if you are with children!
On our way back from Australia to Europe we decided to stop a few days in Dubai. We didn't discussed to much about the choice of the hotel as many of our friends had suggested it to us. So Atlantis it was! The online booking was very easy and straight forward. Great email communication before, during and after our trip. Room was big enough for us 4, clean and we loved the bathroom that was opened onto the room. Nice bath. Beautiful view on the sea and amazing sunsets from our balcony. Loved that the staff was preparing our room before bedtime, adding nice fresh towels and bottles of water. We didn't have the breakfast included because we heard that there were many restaurants and cafes to choose from. However we did go once to Saffron for the buffet breakfast. It isn't cheap but if you are hungry, then you won't be anymore as the choice, varieties and quality of the many buffets will fill your tummy! So maybe it's worth it to check if you could book room with breakfast included. We had the entrance of the aquarium included - just mesmerising! We went a few times during our stay as it's so beautiful. We could have stayed for hours on the little seats provided in front off the big window in front of the main aquarium. Just amazing. Then of course, the aquapark! The daily entrance was also included in our price, so we really made the most of it. As hotel guests, we could enter 15 min prior to the public, so we add the best seat choice. With our 2 children (9 & 12yrs old) we really enjoyed the full presence of the many lifeguards. In one small basin, we could count at least 7 lifeguards. It puts your mind at ease. All the slides and rivers were really great. We had the best fun and didn't see the time pass. Overall, don't think too much if you are travelling with kids. Atlantis is the place to be.
The experience was amazing. Water park, pool, beach, facilities were amazing. The room had a ocean view with a balcony, the service was first class, the staff were really helpful. I would definitely go again.
